AnotherDisplay turns an iPad into a second display for a Mac. It is designed so that nothing about you leaves your own devices.

Last updated: 1 November 2026

What the app collects

Nothing. AnotherDisplay has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no crash-reporting service and no third-party SDKs. We do not operate a server for the app and we do not receive information from it.

What the app does with your data

All processing happens on your Mac and your iPad or iPhone:

The Mac app keeps a local log file at ~/Library/Logs/AnotherDisplay.log for troubleshooting. It contains connection events and frame statistics, never screen content.

Permissions the app asks for

PermissionWhy it is needed
Screen Recording (Mac)to capture the display it sends to the device
Accessibility (Mac)to move the pointer and send clicks, drags and scrolls from the device
Local Network (iOS 14+)to advertise the device over Bonjour and accept the Mac's connection

All are granted by you in Settings and can be revoked at any time.

Network connections

The app connects only to your own device, either over USB through the system device connection or over your local network to the device's address. It does not contact an internet service. There is no telemetry endpoint.

This website

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. It is served by Cloudflare Pages, which processes standard request data (such as an IP address and user agent) to deliver the page and protect the service. We do not use that data to identify visitors.

Children's privacy

The app collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL with a new date.
